Nicholas Avenue was drawn to acting from an early age. Born and raised in New York City, he was exposed to the world of entertainment as a child, finding plenty of opportunity to express himself creatively. In addition, he honed what would eventually become his craft and his obsession. He has recently made a name for himself in the industry with his versatility and his ability to embody the personality of the character he takes on.
A number of Nicholas’s other films have been shown throughout American cinemas and on the festival circuit, and he also appeared in the film Underwater, which was shot in Montreal, Canada, delivering a noteworthy performance imbued with masculinity, superiority, dominance, and inner struggle.
Outside of film, Nicholas appeared in major commercials for Audi and Nikon and hosted Nintendo’s presentation at the E3 2016 Conference in Los Angeles, revealing the company’s upcoming titles. He has a strong track record of collaborating with international brands, such as Oreo, Ragu, and Macy’s, among others.
Because Nicholas was raised in a family of actors, he was taught to express himself and encouraged to feed his passion for the arts. He has been taught by a number of widely-respected teachers and coaches, including Larry Moss, Karl Bury, Paul Calderon, and Tanya Berezin. On top of that, he is a graduate of the Lee Strasberg Institute of Theater and Film.
Nicholas tries to live a founded life, staying in shape by studying and practicing Tae Kwon Do, Kenpo, and Goju Ryu Karate. As a black belt, he teaches other people martial arts as well. Ambitious and driven, Nicholas hopes to combine his love for martial arts with his love for drama and make his mark on the worlds of theatre, film, and television.
Nicholas Avenue is a highly trained martial artist, dedicated to the precision and discipline that martial art demands. Passionate in his craft, he is driven to continually excel in the ancient arts, on a journey to master his body and soul and incorporate this power into his career. His extensive daily training has produced a black belt in Taekwondo in the Korean style. Currently, Avenue is working diligently toward his second black belt in Goju Ryu Karate, a Japanese style that maintains the original teachings on Master Morio Higaonna.
Nicholas has spent over 15 years training to hone his skills, broaden his perspective, and gain a deep understanding in various forms of martial arts. Throughout his Taekwondo journey, he has excelled in WTF (World Taekwondo Federation) and ITF (International Taekwondo Federation) formats. Avenue has also expanded his experience by learning under the wing of Sy Kim, Tony Narine, Matt Stanley, and many more.
In regard to his special abilities, Nicholas holds a background in tricking, which is a combination of martial arts kicks with gymnastic flips and twists. This sequence is a challenging art form that requires total health and muscle control to execute. Avenue also studies weaponry and tactical maneuvers as well.
In addition to his training, he has competed all over the United States and currently teaches martial arts part-time. His connection to the martial arts world grounds him in his daily life, giving him a sense of total health and wellness. In conjunction with Avenue’s unwavering determination, is his ardent desire to impact the film and television industry with his craft.
